Hello from England! At the moment my main fandoms are The Newsroom and Veep. I also blog about (fandoms wise) Parks and Recreation, Brooklyn 99, The Hour, Modern Family, Sorkin in general and Utopia. You can also expect to see some social justice blogging, because this is Tumblr. Sometimes this is intertwined with pretty stuff and animals. Finally, to top it all off some economics and maybe even some politics.

the fact that Americans don’t drink squash makes me alarmingly uneasy

WHAT DO YOU MEAN AMERICANS DON’T DRINK SQUASH??????

What is this true?

What, like fucking pumpkins and zucchini? You fucking cook squash, you don’t goddamn drink them.

The fact that there are people who drink solids disturbs me

What about soup?

twinkleofafadingstar:

so Charlotte Bronte read Emma by Jane Austen and was really interested in this minor character named Jane Fairfax who was poor and would have been a governess had she not married well and then Bronte wrote her own novel exploring the plight of the poor governess who married this guy named Edward Fairfax Rochester in a novel called Jane Eyre and my point is don’t let anyone tell you shit about fanfiction.

Notice only 20 shades of gray

It’s been proven that women actually have an acute ability to pick up subtle differences in colors

In response to that last comment^^

Yes. It comes from the Hunter-Gatherer days.

Women were the gatherers. They had to be able to discern between the different shades of colors to know which plants were poisonous and which were not.

Men were out hunting, so they didn’t have to worry about that.

Which is why women see “Blood orange” and “crimson” and “scarlet” etc while guys just see “red”.

… please tell me I’m not the only one who can see just “red”

Gentically, the would be indistinguishable from siblings…but they would still be geneological cousins.
